Tom Joule began selling clothing at outdoor events in Great Britain over 25 years ago.  It was then that Tom realized his customers were colorful and bright, but their outdoor apparel was quite the opposite. Since then, Joules has quickly become one of Britain's best-loved lifestyle brands.  Based in Market Harborough, this talented team works to make the ordinary extraordinary, with stunning, hand-drawn, bold prints, and a unique use of color. 

This week, we sat down with Joules to chat about their past experiences at FN PLATFORM, what retailers can look forward to seeing in February, and what new brands can expect when showing. 


               

So, let's get right to it! We can't wait for the show- can you give us a little teaser of what to expect this season?


Oh gosh, where to begin! There’s so much newness in the collection for AW17. For starters, we’ve expanded the line to include more prints. In particular, we are excited about our new welly styles, The Downton, with a faux fur trim, and The Biker, which has branded buckles and a pop-of-color zipper, staying true to the Joules brand. We are also showcasing a new pop-on style that’s perfect for wearing in the garden or running errands.

So exciting! We love the sound of the Biker, can't wait to see that in person! Any other updates? 

I think the biggest news for us is we’ve doubled the size of our booth for the upcoming show! FN PLATFORM has always been a big show for us, so we’re excited to take over more space to showcase our new styles and color-ways and better display our footwear to make it even more inviting for visitors.  

   

Any advice you can share with brand's showing with FN PLATFORM for the first time? Anything your team wished they had known for your first show? 

The show has been integral to our growth in the US so I would just say to other brands to really maximize the opportunity…place adverts, target buyers before the show and create the best display possible at the show itself. And don't forget to take advantage of the networking opportunities! We always connect with new people at the FNP party
